I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, approaching each challenge with dedication, thoughtfulness, and inquiry. I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and received my BSc in 2009, majoring in Human Nutrition at the University of Manitoba. I’m someone who follows my passion when it strikes, so while living in Winnipeg, I found time to study yoga for two years under the respected mentor Shauna Ellerby, where I received my yoga teaching certification. After happily returning to my hometown of Thunder Bay, I embarked on a personal mission to contribute to the well-being of the community. Currently, I own a private naturopathic practice at Healthy Families Wellness Centre where I hold a particular interest in treating women’s health issues, promoting pregnancy wellness, cosmetic acupuncture, weight management, diabetes, mood disorders and digestive complaints.
Not only do I believe in promoting well-being and health, but the knowledge I’ve gained in my years. I enjoy volunteering my time to teach cooking to underprivileged mothers and teach occasional free yoga classes. I also work in community acupuncture to promote acupuncture therapy for those who do not have extended benefits or need affordable options. When I have any personal time, I enjoy outdoor activities, reading and practicing yoga.
